Westleigh House (WA4 6NR) Night Support Worker

 

 is located within walking distance to Stockton Heath village centre and is home to eighteen people with long term mental health support needs. For many this can be their home for a number of years, although for others it acts as a very successful transitional stage towards having their own home, either on their own or with others. It can also be used as a location for short breaks away from their permanent home.

Whilst independence is encouraged, if required our Mental Health Support Workers can support residents to enjoy activities that are important to them such as meeting and visiting family & friends, going to the cinema, shopping or engaging in work or learning activities.

Outreach and Supported Housing Support Workers (Learning Disability)

 

We are looking for enthusiastic colleagues to join our team in delivering support to individuals with learning disabilities across Warrington. This exciting new opportunity has arisen due to us successfully tendering for the work; we did this because as a local charity we seek opportunities to make a positive difference. This service will promote independence, enablement and inclusion. You will be supporting people who may be living in individual or shared supported tenancies or with parents or family carers.

Your role will require you to report to the Home Manager, you will be accountable for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about learning and development. It is a new role which will bring learning in-house and focus on the Purpose, Promise and Values of the organisation. There will also be a clear focus on delivering excellence in all areas of learning, including induction, the Care Certificate, ongoing learning and wider accreditation.

 

This role will coordinate the plan of learning across the organisation and will also involve hands on delivery of some learning sessions.

Salary: £12/hour

Hours: 30/per week

Community Health & Welbeing Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for you to become a part of a team that will be piloting an exciting new project in Warrington. As a Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Support worker you will provide professional, high quality support to people within their own home, in the crisis house or other environments in a way which maximises their choice and independence; supporting them to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions while championing our Values within your role.

As part of your role you will provide 1:1 or group support to individuals who have previously experienced or are currently experiencing mental health crisis.

  • Person Centred Support Planning

  • Risk Management

  • Outcome Focused support

    We have a range of shifts available both days and nights, you will be given a set rota in which we ask each colleague to do a fair mix of each shift over their 3 week rota.

Lucklaw (WA5 3AN) and Twiss Green Lane (WA3 4DQ) are small Residential homes for up to four people with learning and physical disabilities who may also be classed as having PMLD. These specially adapted bungalow offers a homely environment with garden space, that gives the people that live there a really personal experience of support and adult life in their own home, but in the social company of living with a small group of other people.

 

No two days are the same, as no two of our residents are either. All packages of support are based on person centred planning, which means they are tailored to the bespoke needs of the individuals. Working towards positive outcomes for these individuals - however large or small those might be - is the passion of the service, and the colleagues who work there, who are trained to deliver a wide range of support. Support may include intimate and personal care, supporting behaviour that can be challenging, developing independence and confidence supporting positive relationships and total communication.

Lodge Lane House provides a home to twenty people who are experiencing longer term mental health issues that means they benefit from the additional support a registered nursing home can offer them on their route to recovery.  It can also be used as a location for short breaks away from a permanent home elsewhere.

Job Role:  Registered Mental Health Nurse

Hours of Work:  Negotiable

Salary:  £28,229 pro rata per ammum

Radcliffe Meadows Learning Disabilities Nursing Home at Culcheth is home to twelve people with learning disabilities who may have a physical disability as well, and are aged 18 plus.  Supporting this diverse group of individuals to be active members of the local community is vital.  

This role will join a team of colleagues to deliver a wide range of support, including personal care, supporting behaviour that can be challenging, develop confidence, supporting positive relationships and mindful communication.  Be people focused, driven on making a difference.  Hours of work are based on a 12 hour shift.

Ryfields Village is a purpose built retirement village in Orford, Warrington it has lovely communal facilities providing an active retirement for around 270 people some of whom are in receipt of care.

Job Role: Support Workers (Domiciliary)

Hours of Work: 16 - 31 hours days or 22-33 hours Nights.  Permanent contracts. Weekends on rotation.

As a support worker at Ryfields you will be supporting older people and people with dementia, to maintain their quality of life in their own homes.

You will be part of a team providing 1 to 1 support visits that supports a group of just 10 to 15 residents. With an array of visits throughout your shift which usually last for at least 30 minutes. This will enable you to form strong bonds with the people you are supporting. During your visits you will provide holistic support including: 

Assisting with day to day tasks

  • Getting to know the person and their choices and dreams
  • Administering or supporting with medication
  • Encourage and enabling the people you are supporting to engage with friends and family
  • Support to attend any social activities around the village or beyond
  • Help with bathing, washing, dressing and personal care when required

Community Network Team (Weekend Support Workers)

Warrington Community Living provides a Community Network Team supporting a variety of children, young people and older adults who have learning and/or physical disability and/or associated mental health needs and/or dementia, but wish to live their lives with the greatest self-sufficiency possible and to take their place as active citizens in the community.

Services may be delivered in the person’s own home, out and about in the community or in educational and work settings. They could be 24 hours a day support or less intense periods of activity based or short breaks work.

A FULL driving licence is required for this role.

Because of this flexibility of support, it is ideal for people who do not neatly fit into boxes and labels and whose needs are complex or particular to them. It is also ideal for people who are using, or who might like to work towards using a personalised budget. Warrington Community Living already support people in receipt of direct payments and are pioneering the use of Individual Service Funds for people who cannot manage their own personalised budgets, but would like the benefits that these offer.

All packages of support are based on person centred planning, which means they are tailored to the bespoke needs of the individual.
