Service: Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Worker

Location : Warrington

Hours of Worker: Full time (37 hours a week) A range of shifts to cover the service 24/7

Rate of pay: from £8.85 per hour.

Experience Needed:

It would be preferable but not essential for you to have 3 years working experience or alternately be able to demonstrate your understanding of mental health issues and the sector. You will also need to be a willing and able learner.

A full clean Driving License and the use of a car are essential for this role

Role/Service Brief:

An opportunity has  arisen for you to become a part of a team that will be piloting an exciting new project in Warrington. As a Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Worker you will provide professional, high quality support to people within their own home, in the crisis house or other environments in a way which maximises  their choice and independence; supporting them to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions while championing our Values within your role.

You will be part of a small team working across different locations in and around Warrington. Support is provided across 24 hours a day seven days a week. . As part of your role you will provide 1:1 or group support to individuals who have previously experienced or are currently experiencing mental health crisis.

Your role will include working with the individual to:

  • Build Relationships

  • Assessment and Goal Planning/ Personal Pathways

  • Person Centred Support Planning

  • Risk Management

  • Outcome Focused support

  • Advice and Guidance

  • Referral and Signposting to other avenues of support

This is a complex role so we ask for some experience of the mental health either professionally or personally, you will need to demonstrate you have knowledge of some of the scenarios you may come across and how to deescalate crisis in a person centred way

You will be given a set rota in which we ask each colleague to do a fair mix of each shifts over their 3 week s this include a mixture of day and nights and you will be expected to work both within your normal shift pattern. There is some flexibility in  the hours worked on some shifts but every colleague  will do a fair mix of each shift over their 3 week rota. Within the rota you will be given at least every third weekend off.

Ongoing training and support is provided and in work qualifications are supported
