As we informed you in our update on the 8th April we can confirm that we have had an outbreak of Corona Virus in two of our homes, Heathside and Heathside Mews. For clarification we want to explain what this means. It means we have had three or more people with symptoms which has meant we were eligible for testing. The three people tested came back as positive for having the virus. This meant we were officially categorised as having an outbreak in both of the homes. We were informed at this point that any further residents with symptoms would not be tested but we should support them as if they have COVID-19
At the moment all our other residential services have no confirmed cases. This includes Westleigh House, Lodge Lane House, Twiss green Lane and Lucklaw. We also provide support at Ryfields Village and there are no confirmed cases with those we are supporting there. We also have no confirmed cases across any of our supported living schemes.
We of course continue to follow the official guidance around PPE and isolation. All our homes remain locked down which means only essential workers are entering them. We are closed to all visitors to protect the people we are supporting. We are utilising infection control protocols and PPE when people are showing any indication of possible symptoms.
