In a number of the services across Warrington Community Living we celebrated Dignity Day. The people we support helped to plan the days and invited friends, family and the local community to join them in thier celebrations.
We helda summer garden party theme with sandwhiches and china cups, everyone had a lovely day. We spent sometime discussing 'Dignity' and it's wider meaning.
Of course this was accompanied by cake as you can't have a celebration without cake.
The celebrations took places across all the services, an was accompanied by music and dance. A lovely day was had but more importantly it helped the people we support to understand the importance that dignity. Supporting choice and control is key to the quality of care we provide.
